January

As a member of the Scientific and Technological Commission Urban Environmental Sanitation Expert Committee of MOHURD, Dr. Li Yuezhong, Chairman of WELLE Environmental Group, attended the inaugural ceremony which also is the first plenary session of Urban Environmental Sanitation Expert Committee held in Beijing.



February

Employees from WELLE Group jointly pledged a donation totaling RMB 358,908 to support the effort to end the coronavirus outbreak. On this basis, the company supplemented the donation to RMB 1 million and the accumulated donation was made to Changzhou Charity Federation. At the same time, the group actively coordinated resources for purchase of urgently needed medical supplies, and donated materials to the front line of the outbreak. In addition, the group donated RMB 100,000 to "Tongji Hero Fund -- Award Fund for medical aid team of Tongji Hospital of Tongji University".

 

 

The Group delivered epidemic prevention materials such as masks and alcohol disinfectants to overseas companies in batches, and assembled human and material resources to ensure that the materials are fully supplied to each overseas team.

 

 

WELLE group won new equipment order for food waste and waste oil integrated treatment project in Suzhou, China, with a total contract value of $10.7 million.

WELLE consortium won new contract of construction waste recycling PPP project with value of $82.6 million in Shanghai Maqiao.

 

 

April

WELLE Group signed new contract to manage high-salinity wastewater, which marked the successful expansion of the group's water treatment business into the zero-discharge field of coal chemical industry and a major breakthrough in Inner Mongolia.

 

Nanjing Doule Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd., the wholly-owned subsidiary of WELLE Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for the "Technical Transformation Project of Annual Production of 200 Industrial VOC Recovery Equipment".

 

 

May

EuRec, member of WELLE group won the waste treatment project in Egypt to support the construction of " the Belt and Road Initiatives".


 

June

Shanghai Song Jiang Wet Waste Resource Treatment Utilization Project entered the commissioning stage.

 

 

WELLE Group won new contract of leachate treatment project in Changchun City with a cumulative turnover estimated at RMB 630 million (US$ 89 million) for a period of 3 years.

 

WELLE Group signed new procurement contract for complete equipment of leachate treatment system in Changsha City.

 

July

WELLE Group signed the enterprise 5G+ Industrial Internet project construction and application strategic cooperation agreement with China Telecom.

 

 

WELLE Group kicked off digital transformation together with Accenture, which aims to further optimize department management, improve decision-making efficiency, and drive business innovation through digital means so as to lay a solid foundation for the group's future development goals.

WELLE Group achieved great success in IE expo China 2020 in Shanghai New International Expo Center. WELLE team has provided professional answers to environment challenges to more than one thousand visitors.

 


WELLE Group wins new contract of Xi'an Food Waste Utilization (phase II) Project, bringing sustainable solutions supportive to the local circular economy.

The “2020 Young Doctoral Outstanding Talents Scholarship" of Shanghai Tongji Gao Tingyao Environmental Science &Technology Development Foundation rewarded 22 outstanding doctoral students majoring in environmental engineering and related fields.

 

 

WELLE Group held the 1st Innovation Week (Environmental Protection Technology Industrialization Forum) in Group Headquarter &Inggreen Cafe and achieved great success.

 

 

October

WELLE Group once again ranked among Top 50 Environmental Enterprises in China. This accomplishment was achieved through the group’s continued commitment to the environmental and social goals.


 

WELLE Group officially launched construction to build its new headquarter center on Oct.27th, 2020. The new center will be a comprehensive building covering office, R&D, conference, training, catering, and leisure, which will create a smart office environment for employees.

 

 

November

WELLE Group attended 2020 CAUES Expo in Beijing China International Exhibition Centre (Tianzhu New Hall). The expert team provided visitors with innovative solutions for the treatment and recovery of organic waste.

 

 

WELLE Group entered a strategic partnership with Hunan Architectural Design Institute Limited Company (short for “HNADI”) by acquisition of 17.65% shares of HNADI. WELLE will make full use of the advantages of both parties in terms of resources, technology, and talents to address the growing demand for high-quality solutions in municipal environment management.


December

WELLE Group was selected into Xinhua's National Brands Project and was issued the Xinhua Credit Settled Enterprises Certificate, which will carry out all-round strategic cooperation in terms of brand promotion to jointly enhance influence of WELLE at home and abroad.


 

WELLE‘s WtE project in Dunhua city successfully completed the connection to the grid on Dec.16th, which demonstrated the group’s full operation capability in the solid waste field of landfill, incineration, kitchen/food waste treatment, hazardous waste incineration and construction waste treatment.

 


On Dec.20th, WELLE Group announced the official operation of Xi'an Food Waste Phase II Project, which will process 200 tons of food waste per day and the total treatment capacity will reach 400t/d. This project highlights WELLE's commitment to the utilization of organic waste and building a more sustainable future, while supporting Xi’an city to respond to a rapidly growing population and new environmental challenges.

 

 

Despite the epidemic, WELLE looks back on a successful 2020 and enters the coming year with new goals and ideas. WELLE will continue to focus on the company strategy "1+1+N": one core business which is organic waste utilization, one platform with digitization as key point and forming N incubation business segments with key competitiveness to bring more sustainable solutions to the environment challenges
